Wandered into Calexico while walking through Brooklyn- we were pleasantly surprised with the Lunch Box special. (Two tacos, rice & beans, and chips and guacamole) Not only did the food come out fast, but we were stuffed for only 14. Grace was a great server, and answered any questions we had. Definitely recommend on your next lunch in Park Slope!
I had an incredible dining experience at Calexico restaurant! The tacos were absolutely delicious, bursting with flavor and perfectly cooked. The chicken and waffles were a delightful surprise, combining savory and sweet in a mouthwatering way. One of the best mexican dining experiences I’ve had in the city. Everything was super fresh and not over seasoned or too oily like most places around. Loved the nachos, they’re a must order. The union street salad was great too. Will come back to try more tacos and burritos for sure. Great vibe and service, and excellent prices!
We came here for brunch. We ordered the Breakfast Quesadilla & the Chilaquiles. The quesadilla had good flavor and came with a special sauce (which I loved). The Chilaquiles was tasty too. Lots of spacious seating (both indoor & outdoor). Loved the decor on the walls, lighting and overall vibe of the place. The bar is beautifully set up. The staff were attentive and friendly! The only downside, they don’t have desserts.
This is me and my husband’s go to place. The staff is kind and friendly. The waiters pay attention to your needs. The food is great it does not disappoint ever. The drinks are great and the atmosphere as well!
So our office decided to order from here today for Taco Tuesday. This is not our first time, the food is always solid. Some of my co-workers that live in the area swear by this place. Anyhoo, we ordered the Fried Chicken and Baja Fish Burrito. Again, not the first time but according to my co-workers just as delicious as it always is. Me and my other co-workers decided on salad. She ordered the Union which she thorough enjoyed and I ordered the Tostada Salad with Chipotle Shrimp (first time). My salad SLAPPED! It was soooo good. It had beans, corn that added a little sweetness, fresh avocado for some creaminess, little demure sprinkles of jalapeno throughout for just the right amount of heat, little matchstick pieces of tortillas for crunch...I meaaan it was a perfect harmonious bite and will probably be my go to dish from now on.
Amazing tax Mexican food! Highly recommend. We have been coming here for years - we usually ordering same food and never disappointed! Steak fajitas and baja bowl are my favorite! Fresh ingredients, tasty and very well portion! They do have huge selection of mescal cocktails. Fresh draft beers I love it and definitely will be back again and again Nachos are very good too. Great service and pet friendly restaurant They do have outside seating and indoor seating as well. They do take outs Friendly staff Reasonable prices still on that area Just came and tried jalapenos poppers- not bad Michelada numero uno not okay, it’s not the one I’m getting one in Mexico, so just choose to drink beer
